About Vincent Grashaw

Vincent Grashaw

Director

Vincent Grashaw has directed and produced several music videos and commercials throughout the years, but his first experience behind the camera was at the age of seventeen when he wrote and directed the low-budget World War II drama THE SHORTEST STRAW. The film went on to screen (and still does to this day) in dozens of northern and southern California high schools, not only because of the powerful message, but the inspiration it brings to students in video production.
His feature-length script, THE KIDS OF CRISTO was selected as one of the top 30 (out of over 8,000 screenplays) in a screenwriting competition by Miramax Films in 2000. After writing the feature-length screenplay COLDWATER (currently in development with Ron Perlman attached as a lead), he went on to direct the horror short and award-winning festival favorite CALLOUS SENTIMENT. Callous has screened in over a dozen festivals around the world and was a TOP 10 FINALIST (out of thousands) in the TRIGGERSTREET.COM FILM FESTIVAL, created by Kevin Spacey.
Vincent co-produced and starred in the indie feature DOWN THE P.C.H., which is currently available on DVD worldwide. He continues to direct music videos, but is currently in early pre-production on his next film, BETWEEN YOU AND ME, a classic black & white period piece that takes place in early 1950’s Hollywood.
